I asked God to take away my pride, and God said “NO”. He said it was not for Him to take away, but for me to give up. I asked God to make my broken and defeated teenager whole, and God said “NO”. He said He would only give joy and blessings; happiness was up to me. I asked God to spare me pain, and God said “NO”. He said suffering strengthen and trials toughen. and I would rather you learn to depend on me. I asked God to make my spirit grow, and He said “NO”. May the blessings of God saying “no!” strengthen, encourage, motivate, inspire, and mature you to be the beautiful creation God made you to be. May God equip you…. “until we all attain the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to full maturity and the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine…. “ -Ephesians 4:12-14
